The Operator's (Bartender's) license is required per State Statutes Chapter 125.17. This license is a 2-year license expiring June 30. Fee Schedule: Fee must be paid upon application. Operator License Application A record check will be completed by the Police Department. The application then goes to the Common Council for consideration. If the record check reveals any discrepancies the Common Council has the authority to deny application and fee will be forfeited. State law requires that applicants complete an approved Responsible Beverage Server's course if they have neither held a license nor completed the course within the last 2 years. Proof must be supplied before a license will be issued. The course is offered through various sources: Waukesha County Technical College.
